A common misconception regarding esignatures is that it is software that simply helps sign documents using a digital image of your signature. This is much the same as describing a smartphone as a device you use to make calls.

In fact, the esignature process is a highly efficient way to track the path of a document or contract from beginning to end. Because the entire process is managed digitally through Impression’s unique eSignature software, every action that is taken with this document can be traced.

eSignatures are inherently more secure than physical signatures. Those can easily be forged and tampered with, while digital
signatures have many layers of security and authentication built into them, along with court-admissible proof of transaction.

Impression provides the highest levels of security possible.

In-branch biometric signing

Wacom Pad is used to create a contextually aware biometric signature in retail banking.
This signature cannot be easily copied or forged as the speeds and pressures placed on the pad are tracked when the signature is created.

In-app signing for in-branch and remote
customer onboarding

Customers can physically sign on any touch screen enabled device, such as a computer screen, smart phone or tablet. The signature is embedded into the forms.

Network Initiated USSD Signing

The USSD push notification signature is perfect for call centre interactions. When an interactive message is sent to a mobile phone, the action is taken as a signature method. Mobile phone details and client actions are embedded in the application form. The signatory can be identified through 2FA.

Digital stamping of
banking documents

We have created a solution that allows for bank confirmation letters and other digital documents to be stamped or signed on behalf of the bank, then distributed across various bank-branded communication channels, underpinned by a digital certificate. This offers customers the convenience of accessing bank services over their chosen channel, and the assurance of digitally signed documents that attest to the validity and integrity of the document. If a bank document is tampered with, the fraudulent document will be easily identifiable.

Remote signature of documentation
through a branded dashboard

In external operations, this could include application forms, proposals, quotations and onboarding. The signature is created through dynamic documentations.
In internal operations, documentation could include declarations and policies, procurement, internal communications and HR. The signature can be integrated with the organisation’s workflow.

Long-term
storage

Data cataloguing is simple, with the ability to generate a document within your own infrastructure and process in one system, then move the document and kick off another process with the document call back API. To mitigate any risk, Impression scans the barcode and pulls up the audit trail of the document. The barcode makes it easy to find documents, as well as restrict and control access. The rules of retention of the document are built into the barcode.
